The Importance of a Strong Foundation and Continuity – the Mind Stretcher Achievement Awards 2018

As with a building, one’s journey in education would be strengthened by a substantial foundation.

 

 

At Mind Stretcher, we prioritise the success of our students, by guiding them continuously with quality teaching, effective curriculum, feedback and even recognition. In the 16 years of providing tuition & enrichment services, we have followed through with our students from pre-school, to primary school, and through to the end of their secondary school education. Effective learning of each and every MS Student who walked through our doors is key to us as we seek to build a firm foundation in their education, eventually leading to greater success in their careers and lives. At each opportune stage, we see the need to recognise their efforts and affirm their achievements as a form of motivation to spur them on and excel beyond their personal best.

 

 

The Mind Stretcher Achievement Awards (MSAA) for Class of 2017 was held on 4 March at the ITE College Central in Ang Mo Kio. Held annually, the MSAA celebrates the achievements of Mind Stretcher students in the Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) and Gifted Education Programme (GEP) Selection Round. For the first time in Mind Stretcher’s history, we also acknowledged the examplary achievements of our O-Level students at the Award Ceremony, with cash prizes that ranged from $300 to $900 to our best performing O-Level students.

 

 

As with previous years, we celebrated and recognised the academic achievements of our top performing MS and 学汇乐 (Xue Hui Le) Primary School students. Our students who achieved a PSLE T-score of at least 250, with our TOP student achieving a brilliant T-score of 285,  and all our Primary 3 students (in 2017) who have qualified for the GEP, would be eligible for prizes which include cash and MS course vouchers. This year, we gave out prizes to an encouraging total of 796 students, who scored 250 and above for their PSLE aggregate.

 

 

For those parents whose children have been with our programmes, we thank you for the support and hope that your children have had a fulfilling and rewarding journey with us. For those who have yet to experience learning the MS way, we leave you with a quote from George Eliot, a famed British novelist of the 19th Century, that says “It is never too late to be what you might have been”. We hope that this inspires you to make the informed choice in giving your child the best foundation and support in education now.
