December, 14th 2015, By MS Googler at 03.55 pm

Mind Stretcher was invited to be a part of the FairPrice Share-A-Textbook programme for the third year running to encourage people to donate used textbooks. Now in its 33rd year, the objectives of the programme are to help ease the financial burden of underprivileged families, to recycle and protect the environment, as well as to encourage thrift.

Launched in 1983, the FairPrice Used Textbooks Project has helped more than 165,000 needy students through the collection of over 2.4 million textbooks. The previous year’s month-long collection drive saw  400,000 used textbooks being collected and distributed to low-income families.
